Airlight 2 Child Airbag Pénélope by Freejump provides protection for young riders in the event of a fall from a horse.

PROTECTION

The Airlight 2 Pénélope airbag vest offers optimal protection for the neck, back, lower back, sacrum, pelvis, and chest. It also features continuous lateral protection that helps maintain trunk alignment. A neck brace ensures spinal stability and safeguards vital areas.

Available in two sizes, Child S and Child L, it fits a wide range of body types.

When using the Airlight airbag, wearing a certified equestrian helmet is essential to ensure the highest level of rider safety.

This model's updated design includes a more fitted cut for enhanced protection.

Size Recommendation:

The two sizes, Child S and L, are designed for children weighing between 25 and 40 kg. The back length varies to accommodate different body types. For the best fit, refer to the corresponding size chart.

STYLE

Our Airlight 2 airbag vest is designed to be worn snugly, either on its own or over our New York competition jackets (available here) or Paris Soft Air competition jackets (available from December 2021), as well as other certified "Freejump Airbag Technology compatible jackets."

It features a front zipper closure and two V-shaped rows of saddle stitching, which give the product its signature Pénélope style.

The new Airlight 2 also introduces a more breathable, lighter, and softer fabric for added comfort and performance.

COMFORT

Made from stretchable and breathable materials, the vest is extremely lightweight and practically unnoticeable while riding.

The Airlight 2 features an improved, more flexible, and comfortable gas generator support.

CERTIFICATION

Certified under AFNOR NF S72-800-2021 standard, with CE reference FREEJUMP 1C.2.

PERFORMANCE

The Airlight 2 airbag inflates at an ultra-fast speed of 98 milliseconds, providing the necessary pressure for optimal protection.

The new gas generator is lighter, faster, and quieter.

Additionally, it includes a patented ball cord with a more practical retention clip (simplified rearming), and the new saddle strap is made from high-performance, lightweight textile material.

SIZE ADVICE

Your Airlight 2 airbag vest must fit perfectly—neither too tight nor too loose. A tight fit may be dangerous upon activation, while a loose fit may reduce effectiveness. For this model, the rider must weigh at least 25 kg.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

This vest is not machine washable or dry-cleanable. To clean your Airlight, hand wash it gently using mild detergent without scrubbing.

Do not tumble dry or iron the vest, and avoid exposing it to high temperatures (e.g., on a radiator, near an open flame, or inside a closed vehicle in direct sunlight).

Do not store the vest folded or rolled. Ideally, hang it on a hanger in a dry place away from moisture.
