GPA 4S Speed Air Hybrid Helmet

The 4S helmet range is designed with 4 layers whose combination provides remarkable shock absorption, as well as improved resistance to penetration and compression during an impact.

• The outer shell, made of injected polymer, protects against sharp objects (which could pierce the shell) and absorbs the initial shock waves by deforming or breaking.

• The second layer of high-density EVA foam absorbs part of the shock waves, reducing the energy transmitted to layers 3 and 4.

• The third layer is a shell made of injected polymer reinforced with fiberglass. It strengthens the helmet by absorbing part of the impact energy and offers a second protection against blunt objects.

• The fourth layer is the expanded polystyrene (EPS) liner. It absorbs the remaining shock waves, thereby protecting the skull from head injuries.

NEW EPS (shock-absorbing liner): better fit

With safety at the heart of GPA's concerns, the entire 2022 collection benefits from a completely redesigned EPS. Its thickness has been increased to ensure better cushioning and reduce the transmission of shock waves. It also ensures the rider's comfort thanks to the new shape of the interior and optimal ventilation.

NEW LINER: unmatched comfort

Since you wear it for several hours a day or week, our new interior has been completely redesigned for increased comfort.

Made in one piece, it is removable, making it easy to wash or replace. This new liner slides between the EPS and the outer shell using semi-rigid tabs. No more Velcro or clips that could bother the rider; this new liner is fixed using semi-rigid tabs between the shell and the shock-absorbing element (EPS).

The fabric is treated to be antibacterial and sweat-resistant. It is washable by hand or machine at 30 degrees with a neutral soap.

In 2022, the classic chinstrap is replaced by a hybrid system, a new exclusive feature from GPA.

Bridging the gap between the Twin Lock System and the traditional chinstrap, the hybrid chinstrap offers excellent comfort thanks to its flexible fastening and greater security due to the rigidity of the part that protects the neck.

Its rear section, made of thermo-composite resin and injected fiberglass, extends the helmet shell and increases the coverage areas, ensuring better protection of the back of the head and neck compared to a classic chinstrap. The frame of this chinstrap strengthens the helmet in case of lateral compression and offers better stability, reducing the risk of the helmet tilting forward.

Its nylon straps, covered with faux leather, are easily fastened with a two-part buckle (male and female).
