Its distinctive flat straight mouthpiece pivots on a 90° tilting joint, allowing it to naturally follow the angle of the horse's jaw. This innovative design creates a broad contact surface that distributes pressure evenly, improving comfort, encouraging relaxation and promoting a more consistent contact.

The Pelham bit is an excellent compromise between a snaffle and a double bridle. Its leverage can be adjusted through the shank length, curb chain adjustment and rein configuration. It encourages poll flexion while applying controlled pressure to the lower jaw, providing greater control without sacrificing finesse.
