The gag action encourages the horse to shift its weight onto the hindquarters, improving balance and lightening the forehand. The larger the gag rings, the stronger the lifting effect. The full cheeks provide excellent lateral guidance, stability and precise steering.

The roller mouthpiece discourages the horse from taking a fixed contact on the bit by encouraging greater mouth activity. Its design concentrates the action on the first joints of the mouthpiece, creating a stronger effect than a conventional mouthpiece while promoting a lighter contact.
