Jump'In Leather-Covered Gag Bit

The Leather-Covered Gag Bit is designed to provide greater control while maximising the horse's comfort. Its leather-covered mouthpiece offers a warmer, more natural feel than a traditional metal mouthpiece, making it particularly suitable for sensitive horses.

The gag action encourages the horse to shift its weight onto the hindquarters, improving balance and lightening the forehand. The larger the gag rings, the stronger the lifting effect. The fixed eggbutt-style rings also provide increased stability and a slight additional leverage effect.

Jump'In leather bits are renowned for their softness and comfort. Unlike stainless steel, Sweet Iron or other metal alloys, leather eliminates the cold sensation in the horse's mouth and provides a more natural contact.

Directions for use: This bit requires special gag cheekpieces and can be used with direct reins, Pelham roundings or double reins. The leather-covered mouthpiece provides a softer, warmer contact and encourages better bit acceptance.

Care instructions: Rinse thoroughly after each use to remove residue. Regularly treat the leather with a vegetable oil to maintain its suppleness. Never use neatsfoot oil or synthetic oils, as they may damage the leather.
