This high-quality single-jointed bradoon (eggbutt bit) is made of solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings. Cuprigan is an alloy composed of 89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron, and 1% zinc. The oxidation process creates a pleasant smell and taste that encourages acceptance.

The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse’s mouth, ensuring soft and even pressure distribution. Combined with the unique composition of Cuprigan, it stimulates chewing and salivation, promoting a better connection with the sensitive horse’s mouth. The bit has a normal action in the mouth.

An eggbutt bit features fixed rings that do not rotate freely, allowing for more direct aids. This type of bit is generally well accepted, as the mouthpiece remains stable in the mouth.

The bradoon is used in combination with a curb bit (double bridle). The smaller rings leave more space for the curb. It is recommended to choose a bradoon approximately 0.5–1 cm larger than the curb bit.
