The Soft Flex + ring bit is a combination of a wraparound mouthpiece with shock-absorbing cushioning and a single welded ring mouthpiece.
The Soft Flex + mouthpiece consists of three layers:
- A flexible central core: the increased flexibility stimulates the same mechanoreceptors as a double-jointed mouthpiece.
- An ergonomic body: the mouthpiece is designed to adapt to the shape of each horse’s mouth based on the rider’s hand movements.
- A cushioning outer layer: using a Soft mouthpiece ensures strong shock absorption from the rider’s hand. The information transmitted to the horse is softened, making it ideal for sensitive horses.
Adéliane is the material used for the outer layer. It has hypoallergenic and biocompatible properties, ensuring the horse’s mucous membranes are protected. The ergonomic design of the bit also provides protection against friction, pinching, and pressure points, which are often observed with mouthpieces that have one or more visible joints.
