Horses are naturally flighty and fearful animals and may be prone to excitability and nervousness in an unfamiliar environment (such as a competition or a new training location), which can make them spooky and cause them to lose focus and concentration with undesirable behavior.
Super So Kalm Paste provides targeted nutrition with 5 key ingredients to help the horse manage these stress responses and promote calm behavior.
Super So Kalm Paste should be administered 1.5 to 2 hours before exercise or the event for best results.
Composition:
Magnesium is a vital trace mineral and plays an important role in nerve activity and muscle contraction, as well as in other functions in the body. A lack of magnesium in the diet can lead to neuro-muscular excitability and increased nervous behavior.
- Calcium works closely with magnesium and is also essential for maintaining proper muscle and nerve function.
- Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is important for the transmission of nerve impulses and cellular energy production.
- L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid in the horse's diet that is needed for the production of the important hormone serotonin, which is associated with mood and pleasure. L-tryptophan is included in Super So Kalm at a safe level to meet daily needs, especially in lively or anxious horses that are likely to receive minimal concentrates and, therefore, may receive suboptimal levels of this key amino acid.
- Chamomile is a natural plant used for centuries for its soothing and calming properties.
Instructions for use:
- For a 500 kg horse: 10 ml per day, in the horse's mouth on the back of the tongue. Feed 1.5 to 2 hours before exercise or the event for best results.
- Maximum: 30 ml per day (divided into 3 doses).
