Its double-jointed mouthpiece with generous tongue relief distributes pressure evenly while giving the tongue additional space. The tongue relief also reduces pressure on the palate, improving comfort and bit acceptance.
The Pelham encourages poll flexion while applying controlled pressure to the lower jaw through the curb chain. Its leverage can be adjusted according to the curb chain setting, shank length and rein configuration.
