Composition: 100% artisanal cold-pressed linseed oil

Dosage: In the daily ration, you can administer 40 to 50 ml per day for a horse and 30 to 40 ml per day for a pony in one dose. A course should last 20 to 30 days. However, for improving sports performance or for boosting the immune system, you can administer between 80 and 200 ml per day in several doses spread over the daily rations, depending on the weight of the equine and your needs. This higher dosage is regularly used for stallions, and endurance or racehorses.

Note:

  • For good preservation, protect the oil from heat and light.
  • It should be consumed within two months after opening.
  • It should always have a pleasant, non-rancid smell.
  • It is recommended to do a linseed oil course twice a year, in spring and autumn.
  • It is also recommended to administer linseed oil before any course of vitamins, biotin, or supplements to facilitate their absorption by the body. In this case, you can start administering linseed oil 10 days before the beginning of the course and continue during the course.
  • Available in 1 liter (measuring bottle), 5 liters, and 10 liters (on order).

Characteristics of Linseed Oil:

  • Linseed oil is a source of Omega 3 (nearly 55% of its weight), Omega 6, 7, 9, and 11. It contains vitamins B, C, E, and K. Omega 3 and 6 are essential fatty acids (they are polyunsaturated fatty acids). They are necessary for the horse's body, but it cannot produce them itself. Therefore, it is necessary for its balance to provide them in equal amounts. In general, Omega 6 is present in many foods. Therefore, it is necessary to provide Omega 3 to improve the Omega 3/Omega 6 ratio.

The benefits of linseed oil are numerous:

  1. It secures intestinal transit (it reduces, among other things, the risk of colic).
  2. It allows better assimilation of the daily ration.
  3. It has a positive effect on the coat, skin, and mane.
  4. Thanks to its Omega 3 content, it ensures greater emotional stability.
  5. It also provides a positive energy boost to the horse (non-heating) and aids in recovery.
  6. It lubricates the joints and helps with their flexibility.
