Made from a Blue Steel alloy composed of 54% carbon and 46% manganese, this bit features a 16 mm mouthpiece and 2 rings of 70 mm. Unlike other alloys, Blue Steel bits oxidize upon contact with air and humidity, creating a fine layer of rust with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation. This oxidation process can also change the color of the bit to gray/brown.

The double-jointed Blue Steel bit is designed to be as simple as possible in action, for both the rider and the horse. The double-jointed mouthpiece allows for the release of the uncomfortable pressure on the palate, making this bit more comfortable for the horse.

This bit can suit any type of horse thanks to its ergonomic design. Additionally, the mouthpiece's slightly thinner size than that of a standard mouthpiece allows for better finesse in achieving what is sought.
