Here is the Jump'In Blue Steel double-jointed bit with copper inlay.
This bit is composed of two 90mm rings and a 13mm thick Blue Steel mouthpiece, an alloy containing 54% carbon and 46% manganese. Blue Steel oxidizes upon contact with air and humidity, creating a fine layer of rust that naturally stimulates saliva production in your horse. Increased salivation allows for better contact with the bit, promoting relaxation during work.
The double-jointed design of the bit allows for direct action on the direction without leverage, and avoids pressure on the palate. The copper inlays and copper rings on the central joint also contribute to relaxation in the mouth.
This alloy will oxidize over time and rust, which promotes relaxation in the horse during work. It is recommended to rinse the bit well after each use to limit the deposit of residues and prevent discomfort for your horse.
Available in sizes 125 and 135, this bit is the most canalizing mouthpiece and provides the best aid for directional issues.
